Al-Gharb Coffee Roasters is proud to present to you … our new Ethiopian bean. We have had Ethiopian coffees on offer uninterrupted since we first opened.
Ethiopia is one of the most popular origins for specialty coffee and there is a good reason for it. First of all it is the birthplace of coffee and loads of varietals can be found there - either naturally occurring or cultivated.
Once again we decided for a green bean from the Aricha region of Yirgacheffe and once again it is an heirloom varietal.
For the first time we chose an anaerobically fermented coffee. The natural green beans sit in plastic barrels for 9 days and afterwards they are dried for about 13-18 days.
The flavours of the beans and the fermentation give our coffee a chocolate base, tropical fruit notes, almost reminding us of mango and red fruits, The coffee has a full body with medium acidity.
The Q-Graders rated the coffee with a mind boggling 89.25 …
We roast the beans for Filter and Espresso brewing methods.
Find the beans in our online store or drop into our Headquarters to grab a bag.
