- French Press -
Plunger, Cafetiere, French Press - call it what you like, it is a simple and super effective way to brew a delicious cup - or more.

The Rundown

  • 1:12 ratio

  • coarse grind

  • 30 sec bloom

  • runtime ~2:30 - 3:30 

The Recipe

  • 200 ml water

    • 200 ml for 1 Cup / 400 for 2 Cups​

  • 17 gr. ground coffee - coarse grind

    • 17 gr. for 1 Cup / 34 for 2 Cups​

The Bloom

  • place coffee grounds in french press

  • slowly pour about 50ml boiling water onto the grounds

  • start the timer

  • gently stir with a spoon 

  • let bloom for 30sec

The Press

  • pour the remaining water over the coffee

  • place plunger onto coffee - but don't press down just yet

  • let steep until the timer hits 4:30

  • gently press down the plunger
