At Al-Gharb Coffee Roasters, we roast our coffee in Albufeira, Portugal, and carefully prepare every order for delivery. Whether you're ordering your favourite espresso blend, discovering a new single-origin coffee or stocking up on specialty tea, we want your order to arrive safely and as smoothly as possible.

This policy explains where we deliver, shipping costs, estimated delivery times and what to do if something goes wrong.

1. Where We Deliver

We ship to mainland Portugal, mainland Spain and selected European and international destinations.

Delivery availability depends on your location, the products ordered and the shipping services available.

For destinations outside mainland Portugal and mainland Spain, delivery options and charges are displayed at checkout where shipping is available.

If your destination is not available at checkout, please contact us before placing an order so we can check the available shipping options.

2. Shipping Costs

Mainland Portugal and Mainland Spain

Free standard shipping on orders over €30.
Orders of €30 or less are subject to the applicable shipping charge, displayed at checkout.

The free-shipping offer applies to eligible orders delivered to mainland Portugal and mainland Spain. It does not automatically apply to Madeira, the Azores, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands or other international destinations.

Other European and International Destinations

Shipping charges depend on the destination, parcel weight and available delivery services.

The applicable shipping cost is displayed at checkout before payment, where delivery is available.

For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes and clearance fees may apply. Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are not included in our prices or shipping fees and are the responsibility of the recipient.

3. Order Processing and Dispatch

We aim to process and dispatch orders within 1–2 business days after receiving payment confirmation.

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Portuguese public holidays.

We roast our coffee in small batches to ensure freshness and quality. Occasionally, preparation may take a little longer during busy periods or when freshly roasted coffee is required.

If we anticipate a significant delay, we will contact you using the details provided with your order.

4. Estimated Delivery Times

Once your order has been dispatched, the estimated delivery times are:

Mainland Portugal
1–3 business days

Mainland Spain
2–5 business days

Other European destinations
5-7 business days

International destinations
At checkout

Please note:

Delivery estimates begin from the date of dispatch, not the date the order is placed.
Processing time of 1–2 business days is additional to the estimated delivery time.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to public holidays, customs processing, weather conditions or carrier disruptions.
Remote destinations and islands may require additional delivery time.

If you need your order by a particular date, please contact us before ordering.

5. Order Confirmation and Tracking

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will send a shipping confirmation. Tracking information will be included where available from the delivery carrier.

Please ensure that your email address and delivery details are correct when placing your order.

6. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Addresses

Customers should provide a complete and accurate delivery address, including the correct postal code, building or apartment number and contact telephone number where required.

If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will do our best to correct the information before dispatch. Once a parcel has been handed to the carrier, changes may no longer be possible.

If an order is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, we will contact you to arrange a suitable solution. Additional delivery charges may apply where appropriate.

7. Delayed, Lost or Damaged Deliveries

We carefully package our products to protect them during transport.

If your order is delayed, appears to be lost or arrives damaged, please contact us with your order number and details of the problem.

For damaged deliveries, we recommend providing photographs of the packaging and affected products to help us investigate the issue.

We will work with the delivery carrier to resolve the problem and provide an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable consumer rights.

Customers are not required to resolve carrier-related delivery problems directly with the shipping company before contacting us.

8. Coffee Subscription Deliveries

Coffee subscription orders are prepared and dispatched according to the delivery schedule associated with your subscription.

Applicable shipping charges and delivery arrangements depend on the subscription plan and delivery destination.

If you wish to make changes to an upcoming subscription order, please contact us before the order has been processed.

Once an order has been dispatched, our standard shipping and returns conditions apply.

9. Returns and Refunds

If you need to return a product, report a problem with your order or request a refund, please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for information about eligibility, timeframes and procedures.

Nothing in this Shipping & Delivery Policy limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable law.
