This genetically superior coffee is grown in the southern part of Ethiopia, in the region of Yirgacheffe and more specifically in Kochere. As the coffee in Ethiopia is marketed through the ECX organisation, the traceability of this coffee is complicated. But we can be sure that it is a Yirgacheffe type A and therefore has the taste and character of a Yirgacheffe coffee.
It is a Semi Forest and Garden grown coffee almost entirely. The coffee grown as garden coffee is found in the vicinity of the producers' own residences.
We could even safely say that it is the coffee that grows in the garden surrounding their homes. The coffee is washed and then dried on African beds. They are characterised by being clean, floral coffees, with a high and delicate acidity due to their washed process and their high altitude production.
It is considered one of the best quality coffees in the world, it has a delicate aroma of flowers. It has a delicate floral aroma, with notes of jasmine and citrus fruits in the cup, fine acidity and body.
